With increasingly wider use of light heat-insulated building envelop, the existing method available for calculating infiltration heat loss in industrial buildings in China, percentage method, is becoming less reliable due to its smaller results compared to actual values in engineering practice. According to foreign design experiences, summarizes the existing infiltration heat loss calculation methods, including percentage method, ventilating rate method and aperture method and gives a detailed introduction of the principles and some problems in application. A case study was performed to analyse and compare these different methods, finding that the percentage method and aperture method should not be directly used, and that the ventilating rate method performs quite well especially for industrial buildings with light heat-insulated envelop.
